Clare Maynard has the leading role of Carmen in 'Fame' at the Edinburgh Festival this month and Francesca Moffat is dancing at the largest casino in the world in Macau, China (and living in the adjoining six star hotel!) [19/08/10]
Congratulations to Olivia Bailes who has been awarded a Senior British Ballet Organization Scholarship (London) and to Ellen Bartlett, Isobel Care, Chloe Green and Jessica Horner who have been awarded Junior B.B.O. Scholarships (Manchester). [25/10/09]
Laura-Anne Stewart starts the degree course at London Studio Centre in September and Emma Price moves on from Elmhurst to the English National Ballet School. Isabel Price starts at Elmhurst. Aimee Berry is taking the Musical Theatre Course at Northern Ballet School and Clare Maynard continues at Italia Conti. Emily Hughes has returned for another season with Ballet Venemuine in Estonia and Francesca Moffat has a contract in Hong Kong.
Congratulations to Jessica Carrick, Jessica Horner, Charlotte Keenan and Hannah Cranston who have succesfully auditioned for Sleeping Beauty at the newly opened Whitley Bay Playhouse. Also, Isabel Price has been chosen to dance in Birmingham Royal Ballet's Nutcracker at Christmas. [September 2009]
Congratulations to all pupils who worked so hard for our school show at The Journal Tyne Theatre in July and thank you to our wonderful audience! Aimee Berry (Northern Ballet School) and Clare Maynard (Italia Conti School) have been granted Dance and Drama awards to study full-time from this month. Emily Hughes has completed her training at Elmhurst and has joined Ballet Venemuine at the Tartu Opera House in Estonia. Francesca Moffat has completed her training at London Studio Centre and goes to New York next month to rehearse for a six month world cruise tour. Love and congratulations to all four girls.
